Kuaket:

Challenge Level:

EASY

Backstory:

Kuaket was the first human born with innate psychic abilities in over a century. At age 12 she became the first recruit since the inception of the Super Snipers program that wasn’t from the selective breeding program. She became Sirius’ protege and, over the next 10 years, earned a reputation as the go-to sniper for covert missions. Her ability to infiltrate behind enemy lines in the dark of night and always make the kill, earned her the name, Kuaket, the Egyptian Goddess of the dark. Money and rank meant nothing to the young Kuaket; but Sirius’ approval and pride meant everything. After the Great War, Sirius disappeared without a word and Kuaket has been tracking him down ever since. But for what purpose?

Basic Ability: Mind Control

This power allows you to play any Focus starting on a square adjacent to an Innocent. The Focus does not need to be part of a chain when placed, but can be chained off of after placing.

Adrenaline Ability: Master of Reality

This power works like having infinite Concentrate Bonuses. In fact, the Concentrate Bonus is useless while she has her Adrenaline unless your opponent’s power allows you to sacrifice it (Artemis). You may always play a Focus starting on any edge of your Target Grid.

The Basic Ability should be thought of as an enhanced Concentrate. Try to use it with a Focus type that you already have somewhere on the Target Grid to maximize you chaining options. Alternatively, if you have a lot of the same Focus type in your Surveillance or LOS, you can use her Basic Ability to quickly build out from the middle of the Target Grid and secure the Primary Target or Innocent isolation.

Your Adrenaline ability is powerful and best used when you can provide yourself with multiple chaining opportunities. In combination with your Basic Ability, you should be able to build your puzzle fast.

Strategy When Playing as Kuaket:

Strategy When Playing against Kuaket:

There’s not much you can do to reliably stop Kuaket from taking advantage of her powers (J@[/]u5 excepted).

AI (Solo):

Challenge Level:

MEDIUM

AI Basic Ability: Mind Control

Whenever you discard a Focus (typically when using a Clear) the AI immediately plays it as an extra turn.

AI Adrenaline Ability: Master of Reality

Time Focus in the Target or Surveillance piles count as 2 Focus in determining whether a completion or win criteria is met.

Avoid using a Clear unless it is unavoidable or sets you up to secure the win. While she has Adrenaline, you’ll want to strongly consider using your Recalibrate to taske away Time Focus from her LOS.
